ProjectCNC
A few months ago, I experimented with making foam mats in my basement. Not just mats. The mats have cut-outs the shape of hand tools. This is a well established method for keeping up with, and organizing, hand tools. The mats fit in drawers of tool chests. I made the mats using my CNC router. The mats I made for myself are quite nice.
I would need a website. I decided to purchase the domain, ProDrawer.com. I started learning HTML and CSS and began building the site. But the production time of the mats was rediculous.
I decided that router-made mats would not be competetive in a world where laser and water-jet CNC is availble to entrepreneurs with the willingness to risk more money by purchasing those machines.
So I ditched the idea and decided to move ProjectCNC.com to that site where I could get more experience in building websites by scratch. I’ll still maintain this site too.
So ProDrawer.com is an odd name for a site about my CNC. But, it’ll do for now. ProjectCNC is what I decided to call my CNC router build. It’s a labor of love. I have nothing to sell.
By moving ProjectCNC to the hosted site I can get experience in site building from scratch. Maybe I can make a buck or two doing that in my golden years. I hope you’ll visit that site: ProDrawer.com.
